21. Take a Photography Class

I checked another item off my 40 before 40 list!

My sweet spouse, Darin, gave me a photography class for my birthday this year!!

I took the class with my friend, Kellee.

I have LOVED LOVED LOVED my camera, but I really haven't done anything other than auto.

I cannot believe how much I learned in this class, and I honestly can tell a big difference in my pictures already!  I still have a LOT more to learn and a LOT more to practice, but this is something I've become very interested in, and I'm so so so glad I took this class!!

Thanks Kellee for motivating me to jump in and do it!!

And thanks Darin for not only giving me this class, but watching the kids the past 4 weeks!

Here's to our next class together somewhere down the road (if I ever buy photoshop).

#1 Busath Portait

I CANNOT believe I actually accomplished this LIFE dream!!

A few months ago, I won a contest for a free Canvas from Busath Photography!

It is #1 on my 40 before 40.

This is not just a "Busath" portrait....we got DRAKE BUSATH!! 

He was so nice and the staff was awesome!  Such a wonderful experience!! 

I can't express how thrilled I am with this new addition in our home!!

40 before 40

1. Get a family photo by professional photographer (Busath or Amanda Castleberry)
2. Go see the “Up” house
3. Go to Disneyland again
4. Go on a zipline
5. Do the iFly
6. Learn to fold a fitted sheet perfectly
7. Replace the upstairs doors and a new front door
8. Go to La Callie
9. Go to the "Roof" on Temple Square 
10. Buy a new or refinish my current kitchen table
11. Participate in a triathlon
12. Golf an actual 9 holes
13. Write in wet cement
14. Try Waffle Love
15. Refinish the basement (New carpet and paint)
16. Go on a vacation with just Darin
17. Sing Karaoke
18. Go to NYC
19. Go to the Spiral Jetty
20. Do temple work for an ancestor
21. Take a photography class
22. Go to Japan
23. Run another half marathon
24. Learn to play a song on an instrument other than the piano (like the ukulele) 
25. Do another day of service
26. Read 40 books—including  Jesus the Christ
27. Grow out and donate my hair again
28. Try 10 new restaurants 
29 Go the gum wall in Washington 
30. Go to Cafe Galleria in Midway
31. Host a Murder Mystery Party
32. Make Handmade Paper

33. Go to a "Fish Spa"
34. Ride the “Polar Express” again
35. Dye my hair
36. Go to the Great Salt Lake Shorelands Preserve
37. Step on Darin’s coat going over a puddle
38. Roast Chestnuts on an open fire at Christmas
39. Go to an escape room
40. Be diaper free!!  All kids potty trained!
