Girls' Camp

One of my favorite parts of having Darin in the bishopric is that we get invited to girls camp!

It really was so pretty.

Their theme was "Live Happy" and it felt happy up there.

Andrew got to go to his first girls camp too!

The bishop walking on his hands and doing other tricks.

Hey!  There's a handsome guy!

Girls Camp 2019

Girls Camp was AMAZING!!!
I feel so blessed to be in the Stake YW Presidency and work with these amazing women!
There were so many people that worked so hard to make this week a success, and it was!
We went up early Tuesday morning and stayed until Saturday.
Darin was a rockstar and took the week off to take care of the kids.
We had awesome workshops, classes, ropescoures, talks, and fun lipsyncs.
We stayed up way too late and woke up way too early.
The week was full of giggles and pranks.
We made new friends, and increased friendships with old friends.

Two of my favorite experiences were the ropes course and leap of faith (I did both--even stood up on the platform and jumped off).  The branch did the SWEETEST lip sync EVER!  We have five darling girls from the Marshal Islands, and I had gone to 2 of the girls baptisms just days before camp.  For their lip sync, they did "I am Moana."  They had signs up with things the world would say like, "One time won't hurt." or "It's okay to be a little immodest."  And they did the sweetest naitive dance that was so beautiful!  The lyrics to that song, will never be the same to me again....

Sometimes the world seems against you
The journey may leave a scar
But scars can heal and reveal just
Where you are
The people you love will change you
The things you have learned will guide you
And nothing on earth can silence
The quiet voice still inside you
And when that voice starts to whisper
Moana, you've come so far
Moana, listen
Do you know who you are?
Who am I?
I am a girl who loves my island
I'm the girl who loves the sea
It calls me
I am the daughter of the village chief
We are descended from voyagers
Who found their way across the world
They call me
I've delivered us to where we are
I have journeyed farther
I am everything I've learned and more
Still it calls me
And the call isn't out there at all, it's inside me
It's like the tide; always falling and rising
I will carry you here in my heart you'll remind me
That come what may
I know the way
I am Moana!
