Snow White Halloween Costumes

I LOVE family themed Halloween Costumes.

My niece, Eliza, had this darling Snow White costume.

I thought Lindsay would be a PERFECT Snow White, so we made it our 2015 theme.

Darin's cousin, Amy, did the theme the previous year, and when I asked how she made the Evil Queen costume, she was kind enough to just let me use hers!  (I REALLY LOVE it!!)

So, that left me to make the boys costumes.  For Darin, I did paper mache for his mask, I stapled black chiffon fabric to the back of one of my mom's frames, and then stapled more black fabric for behind his head.  last I bought Darin a black graduation robe at DI for $2 and he was done.

My mom helped me with both Matt and Andrew's costume.  Andrew's just started as a woman's turtle neck from DI and then we used some of mom's leather for the belt and felt for the buttons.  I bought his ears on Amazon and mom sewed them on to a headband.  Matt is wearing church clothes with a vest we made from a $1 shirt from DI and his cape is a round table cloth.  So, our costumes came to a grand total of about $10!  Not too bad!!

Mom and dad planned a fun Halloween party.

Yummy food, fun games, cute costumes, and more!

This year, our family did "Snow White."
Lindsay was Snow White, Matt was Prince Charming, Andrew was Dopey, I was the Evil Queen, and Darin was the Magic Mirror.

Eliza was a perfect Cinderella and Reese a darling mouse.

And I LOVE Annie and Gracie as American Girl Dolls.

Grandma had several fun games planned.

This was a Frankenstein race.  They had to keep the pennies on the back of their hands.

The next game was a Dracula race.  

They had to transport marshmallows in their vampire teeth.

This game the kids had to transfer Skeleton rings on straws across the room.

Last, the kids had to knock over ghost water bottles with nylons and a ball on their head.

After the party, we went trick or treating to Grandpa Welling.

Finally, trick or treating on Main!

Halloween Decorations

I LOVE Holidays, but my Holiday decor has been lacking.

I stepped up my Halloween decor and I'm thrilled with how it turned out.

And, I did the whole room for $10!

I made the raven picture that says "Nevermore" in paint and printed it at staples.

I cut the bats out of paper. I got the pumpkins, black fabric, bottles, birds and skull at the dollar store.

Then, I just poured black paint on the inside of the bottles and added the labels.

We procrastinated our pumpkin carving until the night before Halloween.

Princess Anna looks a little scary, but we had fun!

We always go trick-or-treating to Grandpa Welling's first, and he always sets the bar pretty high because he give the BIG candy bars out!

Next, to Grandma and Grandpa Hodgkinson's.

The Spiders Moved In!!

Last week, I complimented my neighbor on their spooky Halloween decor & I said I should get on the ball.

Then, two days later, when we came home from church, our house looked like THIS:

They added all those cobwebs, tons of little spiders, that huge spider, and those cute pumpkin lights!

They left this cute little note too!

Matt is certain that someone really moved into our house.

He said that he put the cereal away before church and when we came back, it was on the counter again.  (Really, we all know he didn't put it away the 1st time).

It's a Halloween Miracle!

Breakfast with a Witch and Gardner Village

I've always wanted to go to the "Breakfast with a Witch" at Gardner Village.

This year, we decided to do our own version.

Lindsay got to pick a few friends to come over and I got to be the witch.

We had pumpkin and ghost pancakes, jack-o-lantern clementines, ghost milk, and dried bat wings (bacon).

After breakfast we went to Gardner Village to see the witches.

After our "Witch Scavengar Hunt" we went to the bakery for some cookies!
