Surprise #2

Do you know how you can REALLY surprise someone? Throw them a surprise party after they JUST had one!

I was a little sad that Darin was going to have to work late on my birthday, so my sweet sister Heather offered to have me come to her house for dinner at 6:00, but she had to leave at 7:00.  I felt bad to put her out, but I was also REALLY glad to have something to do on my birthday.  I told her that I would bring dessert, because I just got a new tip for my birthday that I wanted to try out.

I was late getting to my sister’s house, and Heather answered the door.  When I walked in, I saw my dad sitting in the family room.  I thought that was so nice of Heather to invite dad, because mom was helping out with the dance recital.  Two seconds later Rick, Heather, Annie, Grace, Ben, Kristy, Eliza, Reese, Greg, Becca, Ellie, Sarah, Rachel, and my mom ALL popped out from behind the couch with,

“SURPRISE!” 

I was SHOCKED!  We went into the kitchen and Heather reused my “Hayleewood” sign, but instead of a “Hollywood” theme, she did a “Bollywood” theme, and did a TON of Indian food!  It was so DELICIOUS, so fun, so cute, and SUCH a SURPRISE!!

I SERIOUSLY have the BEST family in the WORLD!!!

SURPRISE!!!!

This weekend was the BEST!!

Saturday afternoon, Darin went to run a few errands and came back with my car cleaned and this beautiful bouquet of flowers!  

What a surprise!  

But, it didn't end there!

That night Darin said we were going on one of our "Alphabet Dates" -- the letter "N."  

He said we were going "NO WHERE and doing NOTHING."

He told me to dress "nice" and he went to pick up our "nieces" to babysit.

As we were leaving, my mom called to see if we could stop by really quick to help her with her table for a dinner party she was having (I've known about her "dinner party" for a week now).

When we got to her house, Darin knocked on the door--which we NEVER do, and I thought it was so weird, but didn't think much about it.

Then, mom took me in to the dining room, but the table wasn't set.  I asked if they were eating at the kitchen table and she said yes.  (I also thought it was weird that she took me through the dining room to get to the kitchen, but didn't get suspicious of anything)  When we went into the kitchen I heard.... 

"SURPRISE!"

A bunch of my friends from my ward popped out from behind the couch!  Biggest surprise EVER!!  I didn't suspect a thing!  Looking back, there were a lot of things I should have caught on to, but it never added up in my head!  

Mom planned the CUTEST party EVER!!!  I love doing parties and this was better than ANYTHING I could have ever planned!!  The decorations were AMAZING, the game was so FUN, the food was DELICIOUS, and the company was FABULOUS!!  

They did a "Hollywood" theme, but instead it was "HAYLEEWOOD."  So clever!  

Mom made a game "How well do you know our star."

She had really funny questions and it was a lot of fun!

My sister made this awesome cake!  It is like the "walk of fame" stars you see in Hollywood!

So cute!!  Thanks Heather!!

The kids even got in on the action (after the party was over---yes they stayed up WAY past bedtime).

Pioneer Day

I LOVE Bountiful's Pioneer Day.

We LOVED the parade, and we loved the fireworks at Heather's even more.

McMurray's are so fun!

Heather had crafts for the kids (they made glow bugs with eggs, pipe-cleaner, and glow-sticks).

Then, Greg used his potato gun to launch otter-pops, candy, and glow-sticks.

Oh, did I mention how many glow sticks they bought?

1,000--- ONE THOUSAND!!!

Isn't that a BEAUTIFUL sunset!?  I think I took 20 pictures of it!  LOVE it!

Darin took Matthew to fathers and sons for the weekend.

Lindsay and I stayed home and had a girls night. 

We started with facials and pedicures.

Next, Lindsay did my hair and makeup!

We got all dolled up and ready for our TEA PARTY!!

We took it to the backyard and enjoyed tea (aka orange vitamin water) and pastries!
