The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up

Last year I read "The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up" by Mari Kondo.  

It was a FABULOUS book!

I went after my house in a hurry and made a lot of changes, and a lot of trips to DI, but I cannot tell you how much better life is when we simplify!  I am not perfect, but it does feel so much better! 

And this is very brave of me to post the before pictures--we were getting a little out of control!

Thanksgiving 2017

This year was a Hodgkinson Thanksgiving year!

It was wonderful as usual!  

Mom did darling tables, delicious food, and great company! 
(Although, we REALLY missed being with the McMurrays).

Lindsay always loves to help with the rolls--she is going to be a great baker!

Thanks mom and dad for the dinner--and yummy leftovers the following day!

Discovery Gateway

Andrew, Lucy, and I went to the free day at Discovery Gateway.  I thought it would be packed, but it wasn’t busy at all!  We didn’t have to wait for any of the activities, and several times we were the only ones in certain areas.  This was Andrew’s first time going, and he LOVED it!  It was so fun to watch him play and discover, but I was shocked by how timid he was.  He didn’t want to go anywhere without me, which is very unlike him, but I was glad that he included me on all of his play!

On our way home, we stopped at Grandpa Clark's office to say hello!
