Family Pictures

While we were in California, Geoff and Jadi were nice enough to take a few family pictures for us!

I sure do love this family of mine!

And I really love this "dream boat!"

Newport Beach

After staying up late for "World of Color" it was nice to get to sleep in a little before heading to the beach.  It was fun to meet up with Geoff, Jadi, Kaden, and Kaylee.  We started with a few family pictures then spent some time playing on the beach.  We looked for seashells, played on the body board, and played in the sand.  It was a perfect day at the beach!

Andrew LOVED chasing all the birds!  That is how we spend most of our time.

We ran into this surfer guy and he taught Matt to surf!  Matthew actually got up!

(I secretly wished he had taught me too!)

Beach Day

We had a day with not much planned so we played beach bums for the day.

We went to the Newport Beach temple, Huntington Beach, back to Newport Beach, and ended the day at Laguna beach (separate post).

We started the day with breakfast at the hotel.

Our hotel had the BEST blueberry waffles! Mmmmm....I'm still dreaming about them!

Even with all the yummy options the hotel had for breakfast, the kids chose fruit loops every day!

They did LOVE getting "special" drinks every morning!

This was my first time to Newport Beach Temple.  It was beautiful!

Next, we headed to Huntington Beach.

There was a really long pier with a Ruby's Diner at the end of it.  

We stopped there for a yummy lunch!

At the restaruant, there was a man making balloon animals.

We decided not to buy any this time, but as we were leaving, this random lady gave Lindsay her ladybug balloon bracelet.  They hit it off and became instant friends!

We loved sitting and watching all the surf-boarders! 

Laguna Beach

We spent our last night in California at Laguna Beach.  

It was so fun to watch the sunset on the beach.

It is amazing how quickly the sky can change to so many different colors!

We LOVED Laguna Beach!!
