Francis Frontier Days 2018

We had a great time up at Francis Frontier Days!
Andrew was the only one that did the Muttin Bustin this year.
(He REALLY didn't want to go this year, but he did it, and had a good fall, and got to go sit in the ambulance for a bit to get cleaned up--so fun memories! Ha!)

Matt, Lindsay, and Andrew all did great on their races and each won a drink!
Andrew got a medal, a drink, and a bag of candy--that he was very generous to share with Lucy.
The day ended in more tears from Andrew because for some reason, he got it in his head that he was getting bacon and eggs. Darin surprised the kids and took us all out to Village Inn afterwards (and the kids got to eat free so there was an extra bonus!)

Swiss Days

We headed up to Swiss Days this weekend.
I grew up going to Swiss Days with my grandparents that lived in Midway.
It was basically like a ward party when I was growing up, and I have great memories.
It is not the same at all.
I felt a little sad, and I think this might be our last time going.
It was SO crowded!  I couldn't believe it!

But, on the plus side, we made our first trip to Dairy Keen in Heber (not Granny's...shocker).
Lucy was HILARIOUS!  We couldn't stop laughing at her funny faces!
She LOVED the fries, fry sauce, and shakes (especially the grasshopper).

Rain, Rain, Rain!

We had a HUGE rainstorm last week.
I made the kids come out in the rain to play with me.
They didn't want to at first, but then I couldn't get them to come inside!
(I may have even woken Lucy up from her nap).

We played until the rain stopped, then came inside, got into our jammies, and sat in our doorway while reading books and drinking hot cocoa when the rain started again.  It was one of those "perfect" days!
