Spring has Sprung!

I love Saturdays!! I feel like it is the one day that I really get to spend some good time with Darin and Matthew. A few weeks ago we went on a family drive, and randomly found this hidden canyon. Today we decided to hike it!! It was really beautiful and I can't wait to go back!

After our hike...and Matthew's nap. The boys worked together out in the garden!! They planted some egg plants, lots of squash, carrots, beets, basil, corn, and some other things too!! Can't wait for that harvest!

Last night we had such a fun date night, and Matthew even got to come with us on this one!! We started out by going to Main Street in Bountiful to look at the chalk art! Matthew loved getting to ride on his dad's shoulders! Aren't they cute!!?






My friend Angie went earlier to do some chalk work and I found this cute little message:

After we looked at all the art we got some sandwiches and ate at a park....but we did more playing than eating.




Last, we came home, put Matt to bed and Darin and I watched Young Victoria! I thought it was a really cute movie! Thanks Darin for the wonderful date!! It sure is fun being married to you my dear!!

Race for the Cure

This last weekend I did the “Race for the Cure.” I was really excited because I beat my best time by six minutes!! (However, I could still stand to take off a lot more), but, I was still really happy!

I ran on my sister-in-law Kristy’s team! We ran in honor of her mother, Kris Bott. I never knew Kristy’s mom, but I know a lot of people who do know her mom, and every single one has LOVED Kristy’s mom!! Even though I have never met her, I love her mom just because she did such a great job raising Kristy, and her sister Jess…(as well as the other siblings that I am starting to get to know). They are both such amazing people, and my brother Ben is sure lucky to be married to Kristy!! I am really looking forward to the day that I get to meet her beautiful and wonderful mother!

Darin was an absolute sweetheart and came to watch me finish! He also got me an ipod shuffle for mother's day and gave it to me early so I could have it for the race!

Random

None of these things are all that exciting, but here are a few random things in our lives right now:

First, Darin got his 1st haircut from me!! I was a little nervous, but mom helped me out, and I think that it went all right! I have cut probably 4 other people's hair, but this was my first time for Darin--I have a lot of practice ahead of me!




Second, our bleeding heart plant has gotten HUGE!!! I LOVE it!! And our tulips are so pretty too!! They are all yellow and pink--my two favorite colors!!




Last, I still think that Matthew is the cutest kid on the planet!!

Fun with Grandpa and Grandma Gunnerson

Last week Darin's aunt passed away, so his parents flew in from the Philippines and stayed with us for a little more than a week. It was sure fun to have them, and as you can see from the pictures, Matthew sure liked having his grandparents living with him! I have some really cute videos too, but I couldn't get them to load. One video Matt is playing soccer with grandpa and grandma and he laughs so hard that he throws up!! It is pretty funny! Anyway, thanks for the fun times mom and dad! We are glad that you made it home safely! We'll see you in a few more weeks!

Katie's Shower!

One of my very best friends, Katie Jeppson, is getting married in less than 2 weeks! I am soooo excited for her! Last week we had a little bridal shower with a few of our friends and their mothers!! We had a great time! All the moms said that we acted like we were in 7th grade again! We were all giggles!! Thanks ladies for the wonderful time, the funny stories and memories! And thank you dear sweet wonderful mother for the wonderful food and everything else you did!! Congrats again Katie!! You know I love you!!
