Last Swim of the Summer

Every Thursday we do a "Sisters Swim Day."

We decided to do our last one and go out with a BANG!

Unfortunately for us, (and lucky for them) Hez went on a cruise and Heather went on an Anniversary getaway trip!  So, Kristy, mom, and I did our last one with a BANG!

I sure love watching my kids play with their cousins.

I have spent EVERY summer of my life at this pool, and I have SO many wonderful memories of this pool with MY cousins.  Playing "bumper bums" with Heidi and Andrea.  Playing Mario, Lugi, and Princess Peach and pretending the handles on the side of the pool were Yoshis with Stephen and Blake.  My first time EVER doing photography was taking pictures of Maddie jumping off the diving board.  I remember doing different style dives (ballerina and frog were the favorite) with Chandler, Krista, and more.  Other games like Marco Polo, Categories, Sharks, and more with all the rest of my cousins.

I'm so glad that my kids can continue those same traditions at the pool with their cousins.

1st Swim of the Year!

We went for our first swim of the year today!

Matt is still really timid in the water, but Heather is helping him along.

Lindsay is my little fish--she loves the water!

And a trip to the pool wouldn't be complete without a treat from Grandpa!

Today we got ice-cream cones!

Lindsay was so excited, she took her cone around to every person and said,

"Look at my cone!"

We're excited for a fun summer with this cute crew!

Labor Day...sans the labor

We had a pretty relaxing and uneventful Labor day weekend.  

Monday night we met up with my sister for a chilly swim…

sadly possibly the last swim of the season.  

We were about to head home when Greg came to the pool with PIZZA!!  

Wahoo for a yummy dinner that I didn’t have to make!

This is what we've been up to pretty much ALL summer!

One Fish, Two Fish.

The swimming pool finally opened and we went for the first swim of the year.

It was fabulous!!

My sister, Heather, made a delicious lunch for the kids, 

and an even better one for the adults!  (Amazing crab sandwiches, fruit and veggies!!)

Matt is a little apprehensive about the water, but Lindsay is just a regular fish!

It was a perfect swim day!  

Who wants to go with me again today!?
