Star Valley Half Marathon

Several months ago, my friend, Jess, asked if I wanted to do a half marathon with her.  

I thought it would be a good idea as motivation to start running again.  

Unfortunately, I procrastinated until about 2 weeks before. 

We still did it, and Jess was VERY patient with me.

It took us 3:20, but I was just thrilled that we finished!

We were able to go up two days early, and spend a few days at the Bott "mansion" cabin with Ben and Kristy, and their family.

It was so fun! We did a lot of relaxing, eating, visiting, watching shows, canoeing, and more.

It was a great weekend!  Thanks Ben, Kristy, and Jess!!

Poor little Lucy, fell asleep under a fan with put in the window. 

A big wind came through and the fan fell right on little Lucy's face.  Poor girl.

12th Anniversary

We had the BEST anniversary!!

On our way to the restaurant, Darin got a phone call from an unknown number. 

When I suggested we decline it Darin said he thought it might be the restaurant.   The call went directly to the car phone, so I could hear everything!  "Hello, Mr. Darin?  This is Vincenzo!  I've got your reservation all ready, and the roses are on the table!  We will see you soon!"

Darin had called ahead, and had flowers put on our table!  Everyone was SOOOO  nice to us!  They brought us free appetizers and dessert.  They also let me light the cheese wheel on fire! When the bill was brought out, Darin noticed they hadn't charged us for the flowers.  When he asked how much we owed them, our waiter and the owner argued over which one of them got to buy my roses for me!  They were so sweet! Before we left, Vincenzo asked if he could get a picture with us!  It made my day!

After dinner, Darin took me to see "Cinderella" at Hale Center Theater.  It was FANTASTIC!
