Washington Elementary turns 50

Last week Washington Elementary celebrated their 50th anniversary!
They did a nice little program, which included a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Lindsay was selected with two other students, the principal, and the superintendent to cut the ribbon!  She was on cloud nine all day!  Sure proud of this little "student leader."

A week later Lindsay was in the paper!!

Mother's Day 2018

This was the best mother's day ever!
It started out with getting two new toilets installed the day before, and a new tablecloth (that I bought myself from Darin and the kids).  Darin also bought me a new blender!  The day was filled with treats, goodies, breakfast in bed, dinner made by Darin, gifts and jewelry from the kids, and so much more!  I love being a mom!

Another favorite part of my day, was this sweet post from my "oldest" son Isaac!

I was also able to participate in a mother's day program in our ward with three amazing ladies.  We each represented a different mother in the scriptures.  I was one of the mothers of the stripling warriors.  It was a special day!

11 Month Lucy

Oh little Lucy!
I can't believe we have almost finished your first year!
You are getting more active, but not much bigger.
You still fit comfortably in a 3 month outfit.

Balboa Park

We had the same blessing at Balboa as we did at La Jolla.  We drove and drove to find a place to park.  Finally, as I was ready to give up, the man in the FIRST parking spot honked and said he was leaving and I could take his spot!  Best day!  Oh, and when we got there, we saw a little old lady and I told her we only had an hour to spend and asked he what the best thing she had seen at the park was.  She said, "The mama duck with her 4 little ducklings!"  I was confused, and then she explained that it was our family!  Ha!  Cute lady!

La Jolla

We had a tender mercy at La Jolla.
I REALLY wanted to hike the cave, but we drove for TWO MILES without finding a single parking spot.  I really didnt' want to walk two miles with four kids and THEN do the cave.  I decided to circle around one more time, and when I did, the NUMBER ONE parking spot was available!  It was a great day!
