Afton Part 2

Day 2, Ben and Kristy took us on a beautiful hike!  It was less than 2 miles total, so it wasn't bad for the kids and they had a great time!

After the hike (and a delicious lunch from Heather), we went to Shumway Farms for the BEST ice-cream!  It was the cutest farm ever, and if you're ever in Afton, be sure to stop by!  It was so yummy!

That night we went for fun rides and skipped rocks on the pond.  Delightful night!!

Grandma and Grandpa bought all of the ice-cream, so mom did a "tax" and tried a bite of each ice-cream.  I love that we all have such a sharing family, because we all tried each others an we got to try every flavor. (The chocolate muddy pie, berry, and strawberry lemonade, and coconut were my favorites--I can have four favorites, right?).

 

Afton Part 1

Ben and Kristy invited our whole Hodgkinson family clan up to their cabin for the weekend and to stay for the total solar eclipse!  It was such an amazing trip and my family and I will never forget it.

We started out by going to "Rocky Mountain Seafood" for lunch.  It was DELICIOUS!  They fly their fish in daily so everything was so fresh!  I am still dreaming about my kids' fish n' chips and Kristy's bread bowl.  Mmmmmm!!!!

When we got to the cabin (which is more like a mansion---and thanks Jess for letting me stay in your room), we unpacked, relaxed, and played games.  All of the food was AMAZING!  We had such incredible cooks in our family--and every single meal was so good!

We played telestrations... and this was the FUNNIEST round!  

We couldn't stop laughing!!

Afton Part 3

Sunday we went to church, then once Rick and Heather got up to the cabin we went to visit the Star Valley temple!

(Greg forgot his tie, so he fashioned one out of weeds)

Davis County Fair

Grandpa and Grandma Gunnerson took us to the Davis County Fair last week!

We had so much fun!  We listened to live music, Matt and I both won 2nd place in our photography entries, we watched a fun circus, went on some rides, and ate donuts and dole whips!

Lindsay has been talking for WEEKS about having Grandpa pull out her tooth, but she chickened out when he tried, but then she ended up loosing it later that day!
