Lake Powell --Part 4

Our last day in Lake Powell, we woke up early to see this pretty sunrise!

We cleaned up camp, packed everything up, then went for one last ski/wake-board run!

We came back, said good-bye to the cousins, and got last pictures with everyone's flags.
(But I missed getting a picture of Nate and Janie's family before they left).

Such a fun family reunion!  Thanks everyone!  --especially Geoff and Jadi for your hard work!

Last Day of Ballet

Lindsay had her last day of ballet for the year.
She had the BEST teacher!

Here's hoping that we get her again in the fall!

Chalk on Main

We love going to the sidewalk chalk festival on Main Street.
I am always in awe of all the artists.
I am NOT an artist at ALL and it is sometime hard for me to even comprehend how they do that!

I also feel bad because it always seems to rain the week they do it.
We went the 1st day and did a little of our own artwork with our friends the Muirs.
Two days later, we went back to see the progress of others with our friends, Laurie and Sam.

Brock was so nice to share his snacks with Lindsay.

Matthew did a little artwork for the missionaries. s
They loved it!

Here are the three Elders.

Matt and Daxton are such cute friends!

I made Matt a super-hero.

Lindsay became a fairy princess.

Andrew with his ballons.

And this picture was prophetic...because it POURED later that day!

I can't get over all the talent!

Trip to the Cabin!

We took a quick trip to the cabin this weekend!
The weather was crazy--rainy, snowy, sunny, you name it!
We took the Mudrow family with us.
Zak and Darin work together and Kellee is just one of those awesome people I really want to be like).

With the weather being so crazy it was mostly a stay in type of day.
We watched movies, played a game, and just visited.
Later we drove up the road to Provo Falls and it was snowing like crazy!

Andrew and Mason are just a few weeks apart.
They got along REALLY well the first night--then off and on the 2nd day.

Lindsay and Kate are about the same age.

Tim Tam Slams!

On the way up to the falls.

Lindsay stayed in the car with Andrew and me.

Thanks Mudrow family for the fun weekend!

Alphabet Dates--P Date

Darin PLANNED a PERFECT P date.
We started at the PAYSON temple open house.
(Wow!  That temple is BEAUTIFUL!!)
We got to visit with the PACKER (Truman) family.
We were going to have a PICNIC at a PARK and PLAY on the PLAYGROUND but there were too many PUDDLES.
Instead, we went to PACE’s.

I really think the Payson temple is the prettiest I've seen!

May the FOURTH be with you!

My friend, Allie, had a fun Star Wars theme dinner last week.
When I realized Monday would be May the FOURTH, I thought it would be fun to copy her.
Darin works late Mondays, so I decided to do it a little early on Friday.

The kids LOVED it!
Matt said, "Mom, can we do this every Friday, but with different movies?"
Maybe bud.

I copied a lot of my ideas from my friend, Bridget.
You can see her AMAZING Star Wars party HERE.

I'm not much of a seamstress, but I was thrilled with the yoda hat I made Andrew.
(I made the hat out of an old pair of his pants).
Unfortunately, Andrew HATED it. HATED IT!!

He didn't seem to mind while I was trying it on him for fittings, but once he saw it in the mirror,
he HATED it!

LOATHING.

Matt and Lindsay LOVED their costumes.
Lindsay's was the most expensive to make, and it cost me $1.
(Again, I was pretty impressed by my limited sewing ability).

Darin didn't know we were going to do this.  We surprised him with a costume too!
Thanks Blake for the mask, and thanks Krista for finding it! Love you two!

We let the kids eat dinner WHILE watching the movie.
They thought that was pretty fun!

May the FOURTH be with you!
