Temple Square
The Christmas Season is never complete without a trip to temple square.
We went and we LOVED it!
(And you'll notice that there are significantly more pictures of Lindsay than Matt.
Matt's going through a "don't take my picture" stage....at least I HOPE it's just a stage.
Lindsay, on the other hand, is in a "take my picture 6,000 times stage. Funny girl).
Work Party
This morning we went to Darin’s work party.
Rudy and Jena did such a great job!
Rudy and Jena did such a great job!
We started with a yummy breakfast, and enjoyed visiting with the others there.
(They also invited the missionaries, which I thought was SO nice!)
After breakfast, we heard some jingle bells, and it was
SANTA!!
I usually am a big advocate of teaching my kids patience, and waiting their turn, but when Lindsay saw Santa, she ran past everyone and was the first one on his lap. It really was so so cute!
Santa gave Andrew a stuffed animal, and Matt and Lindsay got
nice nerf guns.
Then Rudy gave Darin a Visa cash card and a KNIFE, and all the women V’s chocolates!
(The top layer might already be gone).

Thanks Rudy and Jena for a
WONDERFUL party!
And thanks Santa and Mrs. Claus!

The Polar Express
Darin’s cousin, Amy is always doing the cutest things.
And I often like to copy her--and this is one of those times.

Last night, when we were putting the kids to bed, they found this ticket on each of their pillows:
We told them they got to stay up a little late to look at Christmas lights.
We drove around and saw some fun houses.
We drove around and saw some fun houses.
And I always LOVE to drive around the Bountiful Temple and read the Christmas story.
We heard about a house that does lights with synchronized music.
I told my mom about it, and she decided to come with us.
When we went in to pick her up, Matt realized she didn’t have a ticket.
So he made her this one:

How cute is that!!? I LOVE that boy!!
We found another house on our way that also at synchronized music.

Here is a little sampling of what we saw. So fun!
They had a cute Santa in the window, and you can hear Lindsay say "Merry Christmas" to him at the end of the video. Love these kids!!

Gingerbread Boys and Girls
We had our annual gingerbread party yesterday.
Have I ever mentioned that I have the best family in the world?
Because I do!
We had a great time! Love being with this crew!
We did the party later this year, which made the kids miss their naps, which resulted in THIS:
falling asleep 5 minutes after everyone left.

Let it Snow!!
Yesterday we had quite the storm.
So we spent the day out in the snow.
And we HAD to end our fun with a little cup of hot chocolate!

There's A Tree in the Grand Hotel
Today Hez, Kristy, mom, and I took the kids to see the
windows at the Grand America.
It was magical.
It was my first time, and I think I’m in love with that hotel—so fancy!
The window displays were amazing, but the gingerbread house was UNREAL!
They had a fact sheet, and the numbers blew my mind!
1,200 lbs of flour. 400 lbs of sugar. 1,200 eggs and more!
It was a wonderful day!
I kind of get a little sick thinking that this boy will be in Kindergarten this time next year.
And all our little "outings" won't be as easy to do.
