Dinner, Lights on Temple Square, and Dessert

We had a really fun night on Saturday.
We met my family at California Pizza Kitchen for dinner, went to see the lights, and then had dessert at Ben and Kristy's house.

Darin and I always get a picture of our favorite spot...we call it "Lover's Lane."
Matt was our awesome photographer!

I took this picture of Lindsay and then.....

the boys jumped in for a photobomb!

Thanksgiving 2015

We had a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving!
This year we spent Thanksgiving with the Hodgkinson side.
(It has been about 4 years since we were last with my side on Thanksgiving).

We only had two problems with the whole day:
#1- We missed my sister, Heather, and her family.
#2- Our family is full of AMAZING cooks and EVERYTHING was so good that we got too full!

I didn't take a ton a pictures, because I did a lot of video this time.
(I'll post the video soon).

Here are the few pictures that I took.

Mom always sets a beautiful table.
This year was my favorite.

Dad carving the turkey!

My cute sister-in-law, Jadi did a cute play last year for the Gunnerson family.
She was nice enough to not only let me copy her, but MAILED the play, costumes, and props.
Thanks Jadi!

Happy Thanksgiving!!
I sure am thankful for this WONDERFUL family of mine!!

YouTube Night! (Y Date)

We had a fun Y date a little while ago.
(We actually went out of order because I wanted to make sure we did it while the weather was still nice).
We invited a few of our YOUNG friends to watch YouTube videos in our YARD.
We ate YUMMY snacks and YAPPED before and after the vidoes.
It was a fun night!

Alphabet Dates W & X

W Date

WE had a WONDERFUL W date over the WEEKEND.  WE WENT to the aquarium, WALKED around and WATCHED the fish under WATER.  After the aquarium we WENT to WAFFLE Luv!

X Date

Darin planned an eXceptional X date.  We went to TeXas Road house, but it was too busy, so we decided to eXit.  So, we went to Woods Cross (WX) to eat MeXican Food.  My plate was X-tra large and I thought I was going to X-plode! We were going to play a game on our X Box, but it was broken, so we watched a movie on NetfliX.

Changes....

Since the day Andrew was born Matt has been asking if they could share a room and get bunk beds.
I tried to discourage it.  I told Matt that if they shared a room that Andrew would mess his things up.

It didn't work.

Luckily for Matt, Darin's brother came to stay with us for a little while.
It was just enough push for Matt to convince me to get the beds.

We took Andrew out of the crib and did the bunk beds.
It has gone REALLY well!
I love that those boys get along so well.
Here is their new room:

On a sad note...
this is the FIRST time in over 7 years that I've put the crib in storage.
When I was pregnant with Matt, I had his bedroom totally set up the week I found out he was a boy.
Since then, we've had to kick Matt out so Lindsay could use the crib.
Then, we kicked Lindsay out so that Andrew could have the crib.

Now, the crib and changing table sit alone in a basement closet.
I hope that one day we will be able to use it again.
Until then...sit tight little crib!

The Four Seasons in Bountiful

This is the road to Matt's school.

I think it may be my favorite street in all of Bountiful!

I may have to relocate to a different part of our ward!

Enjoy!

October Service

Here are our 4 service projects for October.

#1- We took donuts to some nurses up at the U of U (including our favorite nurse, Krista).

#2- We raked our neighbors' yard.

#3- We donated 20 care packages to the Women's Shelter

#4- We donated the majority of the kids Halloween candy to Valley View Elementary (they are collecting candy to send to the Service men and women over seas, and you can still donate if you'd like to!  Feel free to contact me for more info).

I was REALLY proud of how generous my kids were with sharing their candy.  Matt kept 7 pieces of candy for himself, and said, "Do you think I kept too much?"  Sweet boy.  Lindsay wasn't feeling as generous, but she decided to keep about 7 pieces too.  Andrew didn't have much choice.  I let him pick 3 candies and then we gave the rest away.

Snow White Halloween Costumes

I LOVE family themed Halloween Costumes.
My niece, Eliza, had this darling Snow White costume.
I thought Lindsay would be a PERFECT Snow White, so we made it our 2015 theme.

Darin's cousin, Amy, did the theme the previous year, and when I asked how she made the Evil Queen costume, she was kind enough to just let me use hers!  (I REALLY LOVE it!!)

So, that left me to make the boys costumes.  For Darin, I did paper mache for his mask, I stapled black chiffon fabric to the back of one of my mom's frames, and then stapled more black fabric for behind his head.  last I bought Darin a black graduation robe at DI for $2 and he was done.

My mom helped me with both Matt and Andrew's costume.  Andrew's just started as a woman's turtle neck from DI and then we used some of mom's leather for the belt and felt for the buttons.  I bought his ears on Amazon and mom sewed them on to a headband.  Matt is wearing church clothes with a vest we made from a $1 shirt from DI and his cape is a round table cloth.  So, our costumes came to a grand total of about $10!  Not too bad!!

(We totally copied your idea, Amy)

Thanks a ton to mom, for helping me with sewing, Kristy for the Snow dress, and Amy for the Evil Queen!!
