The Sod. The Wasps.

We've had a few parts of our lawn that had some "disease."  My brother, Rick, let us come take some of his grass since they are about to do an addition on their home.  Our lawn looks SOOO much better, but my favorite part was just being with my hard working husband and my hilarious brother!

Rick had two HUGE wasps nests in his yard.
They decided to throw things at them.

I LOVE Rick's face here.

I have watched these videos over and over and I've never been able to get through it without laughing!

Alphabet Dates-- T Date

Darin planned a TERRIFFIC T date!  He TOOK us TO THE movie THEATER (THANK TO Rick for the TICKETS and TREATS). We watched Inside Out, and I should have brought TISSUES for my TEARS!!  After the show we TROTTED around Station Park and Darin bought us a TREAT at TORINO’s, it was TASTY!  They also overcharged us and I got TWELVE dollars back!  Our TOTS kept TEASING us by getting their hands wet in the fountain and TOUCHING us!  Matt did some cool TRICKS with Andrew.  That night Darin TOOK me TO THE TEMPLE.

(Side note: EVERYTIME we have done these alphabet dates, Darin tries to make our date the temple.  B=BOUNTIFUL temple,  D= Redeem the DEAD, F= Creating eternal FAMILIES, H=Go to the HOUSE of the Lord, ect.  He really did it every time it was his turn to plan.  I promise we do go to the temple, but this is the 1st time I’ve let him count it for one of our Alphabet dates!

Love these crazy guys!  Look how TAN Matt is!  (He did not get that from his mother).

Tour of Utah

It was so fun to be at the Tour of Utah!
It was such a neat experience to have such a HUGE thing in our own little Bountiful!

There was lots of entertainment and activities for the kids.
Matt got to be in a race that went over the actual finish line!
That was pretty special!
You HAVE to watch the video at the end.  They bike SO fast!!

My favorites!

Matthew. You are the most obedient, sensitive, kind hearted boy I know. You always want to do what's right. You really are the best big brother. You cry when you miss a night of your personal scripture study, worried that you won't finish the Book of Mormon by the time you're 8. You are smart, good, and kind. I love you!

Lindsay you are an absolute sweetheart! You are enthusiastic, happy, and fun! I can always count on you for squeals, ooos, and ahhs on my projects. You crack me up with your big vocabulary (that you often use incorrectly). 4 years ago doctors said they didn't think you would ever walk or talk, and that is kind of true because instead of walking, you're always dancing and instead of talking you're always singing!  You love your dad and want to marry him. My biggest wish is that you'll find someone just like him. You say the sweetest, most sincere prayers. You make life fun! You are my miracle girl!

Oh my Andrew! You are NOT like your siblings! You are my wild man! Although you make me want to pull my hair out daily, when you flash your million dollar smile all is forgiven. You also give the world's best kisses! I love that even though you're always on the go, you always have time to cuddle me. One of my recent favorites is when you're in trouble or when it's time for bed, you say "da dople too an I yu yu yu you!" (The Gospel's true and I love you) hoping to get out of it! Love you, wild man!!

Family History-- Job Welling

We always have a family dinner on the first Sunday of the month.
Recently, we have been taking turns doing "family history" lessons.
Yesterday, grandpa took a turn.  He told us about our several great grandpa, Job Welling.
Job was in the bishopric where the 1st primary was organized.
We went out to Farmington to see the church.
Heather's uncle happens to be the Stake President and let us into the chapel.
It is a really unique chapel, because it has a HUGE mural of the 1st primary.
There is also a plaque on the front of the building with grandpa Job's name on it.

I know the church handbook says not to take pictures in the chapel, but is it ok to post pictures that other people have taken?  I'll have to look into that!

This is the painting close up that I found on lds.org

These are some of my FAVORITE primary kids on the planet!!

Alphabet Dates-- S Date

On SATURDAY we had a SPLENDID “S Date.” We STARTED by SIPPING on STRAWBERRY SPINACH SMOOTHIES with STRAWS and we took a SELFIE. Then, we went to play a game of SQUASH (with racquetball rackets, racquetball court, and racquetball rules ha ha).  Darin SCHOOLED me.  Later that night we went out for SUSHI, SOUP, and SWEETS then we SNUGGLED and watched SLEEPLESS in SEATTLE.
