CAA Princess Camp

Lindsay spent the week at Creative Arts Academy's "Princess Camp."

It was Monday-Thursday for 50 minutes each day.
She had a great time, and it made her seem suddenly so grown up.

This camp was especially fun because she got to take the class with her cousin, Eliza.

Monday, they spent the day with "Belle" and learned that reading can be fun.
They made books and learned a dance.

Tuesday, they spent they day with "Aurora" and learned to be kind to everyone.
They also read more books, did a craft, and a dance.

Wednesday, was "Rapunzel" day and Eliza let Lindsay use her "Rapunzel" dress.
They learned how to develop all their talents, made floating lanterns, and learned another dance.

Their teachers, Aubrey and Jana, are so cute!

Thursday was their last day.  All of the families got to come and see their performance.
They did two dances.  The first one was to "Bonjour" from Beauty and the Beast.  They had books for props, and Lindsay didn't participate and was a little bit of a stinker.  The second dance was to "I See the Light" from Tangled.  Lindsay, followed directions, and was fun to watch.  It was really cute to see her dancing with her lantern.

Lindsay giving her teacher, "Princess Aubrey" a hug goodbye.

And of course, we had to get more photos of the cute princesses.
I may have gone overboard with pictures, but I just think she is so darn cute!

The Welling Clan!

My cousin, Johanna, is leaving on her LDS mission today.
So, last night, we had a big "Welling Clan" get together .

Have I ever mentioned how much I love this group?  Because I do!

We had a yummy dinner with lots of visiting and laughing!

It is just a little crazy how ridiculously gorgeous my cousins are.
(And only two of them are taken fellas!)

My mom with two of her brothers.

We played some baseball...until is started to downpour.
Then, we played in the pouring rain!
My kids LOVED it!!

And Abbey and Lindsay ended the night with some puddle jumping!

LOVE these summer nights!!

Mueller Park Canyon

I have a lot of great memories of Mueller Park Canyon.
Hikes with friends.
 Young Women Girls Camp Prep.
Family picnics.
Tin foil dinners.
Playing in the stream.
Hot dogs, s'mores, and more!

Unfortunately, this may have been our last time going, because it has gotten so expensive to go up!
$5.00 per person to walk in.
$8.00 per car to drive in
$30.00+ to use a fire pit.
$39.00+ to make a reservation
$49.00 to cancel a reservation.

Long story short, I had a reservation.  I wanted to cancel it.  But, when I realized it was going to cost me more to cancel it than to just use it we decided to go up.  And luckily for us, we have great friends that are ok with our spur of the moment planning and came with us!

We had a lot of fun visiting, roasting hot dogs, making s'mores and playing in the water.

Samuel and Andrew are two weeks apart!  Aren't they cute?

Andrew's "Old Man" pose.

Andrew's first time roasting a marshmallow.

I'm not sure what setting my camera was on when I took this picture.
I didn't do ANY editing to this picture, and it came out looking like this.
I thought it turned out pretty cool!

Even leaving isn't too bad when you have this sunset to look at on the way out of the canyon!

Good-bye for now Mueller Park.
Hopefully you'll lower your prices one day so we can come back!

Fun with Jadi, Kaden, and Kaylee

We had a quick visit from Jadi, Kaden, and Kaylee.
They live in Arizona and we just LOVE their family!
We wish that we could see them more, but we had fun while we were together.

The kids had Fudgsicles and jumped on the trampoline.

Their first time meeting Andrew...not sure why he's doing such a crazy face.

Thanks for making time to visit us Jadi, Kaden, and Kaylee!

We love you guys!!  (And we hope Geoff can make it up next time too!)
