Weekend Recap

Friday I did something stupid.  I stayed up late watching TWO movies with Darin.  The movies ended at 1:30, and Andrew woke up about 1:35 and wanted to be up for a while.  Luckily for me, I have the best husband in the world!!  After I fed Andrew Darin took him to another room and only brought him back when he needed to eat.  Even after Darin got him settled back down, he took the other kids in the morning, let me sleep in, AND made me breakfast in bed!!!  It was like mother’s day all over again!!

Check out these delicious chocolate chip waffles!  SOOO yummy!!

Saturday afternoon we headed over to see the chalk festival.  I felt really sad for so many people that worked so hard and their art got ruined by the rain.  Some people had covers on theirs, and some had come to retouch their art.  Regardless, we had a great evening walk!

One Month

I can't believe that Andrew is already a month old!
He is such a cute little guy!

Sleeping isn't consistent yet.  Some nights it feels like he is awake ALL night long.  But other times he will sleep for 4 1/2 hours, eat, then sleep another 4 1/2 hours (I LOVE those nights).

Unlike Matthew and Lindsay, Andrew loves tummy time and he's already rolled over twice!

He has a really easy-going temperament. He cries when he's hungry, tired, dirty, or when he gets out of the bathtub. But even when he does cry I can usually get him to calm down within a few seconds.  He really is a good little baby!

Mother's Day

Love being a mother to these THREE!!  (I still can't believe that I have three kids).
Darin spoiled me--two bouquets of flowers, chocolates, breakfast in bed, and two gifts that I asked for.  Thanks spouse!

Sidewalk Chalk Festival!

The sidewalk festival began today!
We met up with our friends Angie, Daxton, and Brock, and my sister Heather and her Rachel.  (Thanks for coming you guys!)
We had a great time coloring and we’re excited to go back this weekend to see what the “real” artists do!

The Boys!

Matt and Andrew are already best buddies!
Matt is such a great big brother and Andrew already loves him!
I love these boys!

Summer Bucket List!

Today we made our summer bucket list!
It is always fun to have things to look forward to.
This year we wrote our list on our chalk board so we can cross them off.
Here's to a fun spring and summer!

Quatro, Cinco, Seis De Mayo

Quatro de Mayo

I knew that we were going to my parents’ house for Sunday dinner, so I decided to do a few crafts with the kids the day before.
We painted serapes.

We made sombrero cookies.

We made mini pull piñatas (that were really easy, fun, and I thought they turned out really cute).

Cinco de Mayo

We went my parents’s for some yummy nacho casserole and Heather made some yummy lime cookies and lime ice-cream.  Andrew had fun with the family--especially Grandpa.

and Grandma painted Lindsay’s toes.

Seis de Mayo

We had my parents over for dinner.

We had cheese enchiladas, chicken enchiladas, individual 7 layer bean dip, and virgin margaritas.

We put on some costumes

pulled our piñatas and had FHE.

And I have to say this might be my favorite picture of Andrew so far.  It makes me laugh.

Hope you had a happy cinco de mayo!

Thankful!

I honestly cannot believe how good and kind people are!  I really feel like I have the best friends and family in the whole wide world!  People have been so kind to us with our new addition!!  All you wonderful people make me want to be so much better!!

I feel so thankful for all the DELICIOUS meals that people have brought us!

We’re so thankful for all the tasty treats people have brought!

We’re also so thankful for the visits and gifts!  I really didn’t need anything since we’ve already had a boy, and I really wasn’t expecting anything from anyone, but I’m amazed at the things little Andrew has gotten (and I will admit, although we didn't NEED anything, it is really fun to have some new outfits for him!  Thanks!!)

I’m so thankful for my mom—this woman is amazing!!  Not only did she help me get everything in order before Andrew came, but she helped nearly every day after!  Every time she came she would let me take naps while she would take care of the kids, clean up the house, and more!  Thanks mama!!

(This before and after happened pretty much every day).

And I am so thankful for such an awesome husband!  Darin really is the best!  I don’t know how he does it.  It has been quite a transition with a new baby, new job, trying to figure out insurance, and having Darin gone nearly ALL the time, but when he is home he is SO helpful!  He takes Andrew so I can sleep, he feeds the kids, helps with dishes, rubs my back, fills up my water bottle, takes the kids on outings, and so much more!  I really am so lucky!  Thanks Darin for ALL you do!!

These kids are so lucky too!!
