Fun Weekend

Darin and I had an EXTRA fun weekend. Earlier in the week I got "asked out" on a date--by my super cute husband!! He "picked me up" and we dropped off the kids at my parents house (thanks so so much mom and dad!!) Then he took me bowling, to Mikado's for dinner, and then out to buy me a new pair of earings! How lucky am I!!? Love that man!!

We were planning on going back to the sidewalk chalk festival on Saturday night, but it was way too cold, so we headed back Sunday after church.

Here are a few of our favorites:

Happy Mother's Day and More

Sunday was the best mother's day ever! I had an early morning meeting, and when I came home I found Darin with both kids dressed and ready for church! I also got a beautiful bouquet of dandelions from my cute Matthew!! After church Darin let me take a nap, and when I woke up he made this delicious meal!!

Can we say luckiest girl in the world or what!!? That is beef wellington, spring salad, and parmesan baked asparagus!! It was so good!! He also made a tasty strawberry rhubarb cobbler for dessert!!

On Wednesday I went out with our "original" YW Presidency for the last time! Miranda got released because she is moving and we are so sad to see her go!!

On Thursday my sister Heather came over and she put Lindsay's hair into her first poneytail!! Yay!! I think her hair is growing in pretty well!!

Friday, started out like a REAL Friday the 13th! When I woke up Matthew wasn't in bed, and I found him in the Living Room eating a container of yogurt with his bare hands.

After I got him undressed I told him to get some pants. When he came back he was wearing his "pants back pack!" So cute!

Friday afternoon we went with Ang, Suzanne, and the kids over to Main Street for the Sidewalk Chalk Festival! We looked at the artwork, made some of our own, and played in the water fountain! I think we will go again Saturday night when they are all done!

If you go to the sidewalk chalk festival --keep your eyes out for my love message to Darin!! (Its in front of the tabernacle just south of the cute "Harold and the Purple crayon" picture!)

And, just a really cute one to end on!! Do you see any resemblance!?

Happy Cinco de Mayo!!

Cinco de Mayo was a pretty busy day at our house, so this is actually 'Seis de Mayo!' In the morning Matt had his little friend Daxton over for a playdate...and my cute friend Ang. We wore funny sombreros and mustaches.

We had quesadillas and a Mexican flag veggie tray.

Matthew and I made this pinata and then we all took turns hitting it.

And we took turns eating the candy that was inside it!

That night we had my parents over for fajitas, a movie, Mexican train, and visiting.

Doesn't my dad TOTALLY look like he should be in a mariachi band!? Love him!!

(and some virgin tequilas--aka limeade)

Lindsay's cute stach! And her darling outfit that just flew in from Mexico!! Thanks Judy!!
Darin's one man Mariachi band!

Happy Cinco de Mayo!!
