Farmer Darin

Darin has been working on his garden lately, and he sure has done a great job! He is planting beets, corn, carrots, crookneck squash, lemon squash, spaghetti squash, tomatoes, daikons, Chinese cabbage, zucchini, mint, pepper mint, and Asian melons. I wish that I would have taken before an after pictures because he has done a great job! I love going up there to see his work, but also to visit with my grandparents, look at the hummingbirds, and have little picnics. Here are a few pictures from our recent journeys to the garden.

Matthew's Favorite Things

Matthew is starting to LOVE his tounge!!

In the last few days Matthew has a new favorite thing! See if you can guess what it is:

Yes, Matthew has learned to grab anything that is within reach and put it in his mouth!! Every time Darin gives Matthew a kiss Matthew grabs the glasses off Darin's face and puts them in his mouth. He did the same thing with my sunglasses. But I have to say that my favorite it the library card and the shoe!

Friend Get Together

Yesterday I was able to get together with a few of my friends from High School. Three of us had babies within a few weeks of each other. It was fun to see them all together! Here are a few pictures from the day! Thanks Annie for letting us come up!

Fun Weekend

Darin, Matthew, and I had a fun weekend! We walked up to the Post Office where they had a bunch of chalk art! I am so impressed with anyone that has artistic ability! Here are a few of the pictures from the fun night!

Matthew's First Hair Cut

Matthew got his first haircut on Saturday! I had a dream on Friday that someone thought he was a girl, so I knew it was time for the cut. Grandpa Gunnerson gave him his first cut! Here are a few of the pics.

Easter Weekend

Happy Easter!!

We had a wonderful Easter Weekend! It started on Wedndsay when Darin's mom brought Matthew a little cute Easter bag:

On Friday night Darin and I dyed some hard boiled eggs!

Saturday Morning the Easter Bunny brought us our Easter Baskets and hid eggs around our apartment for me to find!! (The Easter bunny did a really good job hiding the eggs and I had a lot of fun finding them!) Us with our Easter baskets:

Sunday was a wonderful Easter day! Darin and Matthew took a nap together before church. Aren’t they cute?!

After church we went to my parents for a delicious dinner!! Here are some of the pictures from the afternoon.

I took orange rolls for the dinner. I was pretty nervous to make them, but I was glad that they turned out. For the recipe click here.

Darin bought me this beautiful Easter Lilly. The last flower just bloomed today!

I also made some peanute butter chocolate Easter eggs. For this recipe click here.

I won!!

My sister Heather posted on her blog a cute thing that went something like this:

The first FIVE people to respond to this post will get something made by me personally. What I make is my choice, but it will be made JUST FOR YOU! My choice. For you. However, like all things that sound too good to be true :), this offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

1- There is no guarantee that you will like what I make!
2- What I create will be just for you personally.
3- It will be completed sometime this year. :)
4- You will receive no clues as to what it's going to be. I'll let you post a request of some sort with your comment, but still... it could be anything!
5- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange if I so desire... it may blow your mind! Or it may not. It may be very simple and predictable... but hopefully you will benefit from it!

And I was the first one to comment and I got a super cute gift!! She gave me an Easter basket filled with a homemade card (that was super cute!), the book “Gossamer” (for me to read in the tub), and four “Bath Bombs” (that were shaped like little Easter eggs! They smell amazing!! She made vanilla, pear-berry, green apple, and melon-cucumber. I have such a talented sister!

Now, I am not as good as Heather, so don’t expect anything great, but I am going to do the same thing! So, first 5 people to comment on my blog, I will make you some sort of something! Enjoy!!
