More Baby Matthew!!

I am sure that the majority of our posts will be based around our cute baby Matthew!! He is such a cutie! We can't get enough of him! Here are a few of the latest pictures!

Welcome Baby Matthew!!!

We are now a family of three!!! Baby Matthew is here, and he is the cutest thing we have ever seen!!! We are so glad to have him here! We feel so blessed, and are so thankful to our Father in Heaven for trusting us with this sweet little spirit! He is the joy of our lives!

We went to the hospital Sunday night at 9:00 and he was born Monday morning at 4:02! He was 7 lbs 4 ounces adn 19 inches tall! He is a healthy, strong, beautiful little baby! He has the cutest hair in the universe!! Everyone thinks it looks like he came out of the salon! Brown with blonde highlights! So, if you guessed blonde or brown you were right! I was way off--I guessed bald!! Well, here is what you have all been waiting for--the pictures!!

This is my very favorite picture!! I know it is blurry, but it makes me laugh SOOO hard! I was going to the bathroom and Darin decided to start changing Matthew’s diaper without me. While I was in the bathroom I heard—“Haylee!!! Come quick!!!” I come out and find Darin with is right hand covered in pooh and his left hand blocking Matthew’s stream of pee!! Ha ha ha!!! Oh, I am still laughing!! If you look closely at the picture you can see pee drops covering his little bed!! Then, Darin says “Help me!! Don’t take pictures!” But I couldn’t help it!! It was so funny!! Poor Matthew was soaked!!

My brother Ben thinks Matthew looks like a model-I kind of think so too—he is so stinkin cute, so here are a few extra pictures for your enjoyment!







This little guy has us wrapped around his finger!! He is so lucky to have such a wonderful dad!! Darin has been so wonderful in taking care of him! Matthew sure loves his dad!! And so do I!! I couldn't have done it without Darin! Thanks sweetie!

Latest Update

We are still a family of two--baby Matthew hasn't come to join us yet. I am still feeling well, having a few contractions here and there, but nothing to keep track of yet.

On another note, one of my favorite things about Darin is that he is so willing to try new foods. Last night we had my parents over for a little pork shoulder "pernil" with cilantro-citrus adobo. It was different from anything I've made, and it was a fun change. We served it with black beans, coconut rice, grilled pineapple, and facaccia bread.

Bowling Fun!

We had a good time last weekend up in Heber bowling with Rick, Olivia, Thom, Luke, Noah, and Eli! Darin won both games! The first game he scored a 196!! Way to go Darin!! Here is a cute picture of me and Darin modeling some classic bowling shoes:

Here is a little background info to help you make your guess. Matthew's technical due date is Jan. 29th, but the doctor said he could come anytime in January.

I was due March 5th, but came early on Feb. 27th. I was born at 9:14 am, and I weighed 7 lbs 1 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long.

Darin due Feb 28th, and came Jan. 27th (over a month early). He was born about 11:58pm, and weighed over 8 lbs. (All the brothers were big boys too).

Date Night!

I love going on dates with Darin!! Our most recent date was to go see the lights at temple square! Here are some pictures from our wonderful night!

Merry Christmas!!

We hope you had a wonderful Christmas! We sure did! It was so fun to just relax and spend some time with family! Christmas Eve we had a great time at Darin's parent's house with lots of family, cousins, delicious food, and excellent entertainment. The grandkids did an outstanding nativity--my favorite part was Noah being the donkey! Good times! Here is a picture of the whole clan from Chrsitmas Eve at Gunnerson's.

We also snuck down to my parents and mom gave us ALL matching p.j.'s--including little baby pants for Matthew! Here is a pic of us in our matching p.j.'s

Christmas morning was wonderful too! Santa found us again this year!! And, just like last year, he ate the milk and cookies we left out for him! (If you look close, you can see the crumbs)

Santa brought us some fun gifts! I got LOTS of my favorite candy bar (recess peanut butter cups) and recess peanut butter cups with banana cream. I also got the BEST movies in the WORLD!!! I got my all time favorite movie--Sleeping Beauty and Kung Fu Panda--both on blue ray. The best part is that on Sleeping Beauty, on the main menu page it shows "your kingdom" which shows the weather here in Bountiful! So when it is snowing here, it also shows it snowing on the Sleeping Beauty Castle! It shows the temperature here too! It is sweet!

Santa brought Darin some cologne, a book, a PS3 controller, a pen, and a few other things. Santa also got us a new Pot and Pan set, and a juicer extension for our kitchen aid. Here is a picture of Darin making fresh squeezed juice for our Christmas breakfast!

Our family Christmas breakfast was wonderful--as always! Very yummy! These are a few pictures from the morning!

It’s Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas!

I love Christmas!! Here are few pictures of some of our Christmas decorations! Darin and I found this tree for $13! What a steal! The Christmas tree ornaments are all from my Grandpa Welling!

I know that blogs often turn into brags, but I just had to brag about Darin really quick....

DARIN PASSED HIS SERIES 7 TEST!!!!! WAHOO!!!!

Congrats Darin!! I am so proud of you!! He has been working and studying so hard! And he did great!! 14% above the national average!! Great work!! Thanks for all of your prayers! They helped!! We love you Darin!!

Shower Time!

This was a wonderful weekend! I had two baby showers, and I feel so blessed to have such amazing people in my life! Friday my friend Lara threw me a shower and it was so fun to see some of my old friends again. Here is a picture of some of the girls:

New Bathroom!!!!

Oh Happy Day!! We have a new bathroom!! We stayed with Darin's parents the last week while we got it done (thanks mom and dad!) It was fun to be with them, kind of like a little vacation!! But, when we came back from our little vacation, we came home to a new bathroom!! These are a few pictures of the process, and the final product!
