Alphabet Dates—L Date

Darin planned our L date, and it was so fun!
We went on a LONG drive to LOOK at the LEAVES on the Alpine LOOP.
We took our LITTLES and stopped at the different LOOKOUTS and LAUGHED a LOT.
When we got home we ate LEFTOVERS for LUNCH and drank LEMONADE.
We LIKEWISE did LOTS of LOADS of LAUNDRY
(it wasn’t part of the date, but I LOVED the help).

The whole date was LOVELY!

#9- Master A Song On the Piano

I only have 5 months to finish my 30 before 30, so I'm making a mad dash for the finish line.

Originally, I wanted to learn "Clari de Lune."  I worked REALLY hard on it.  Aunt DeAnna asked me to accomplish 1 measure per week.  It seemed doable.  However, that song is REALLY hard, and my piano skills aren't up to par.

I am the primary chorister for my ward.  I thought it would be fun if I could "master" all the songs before the primary program, but "Baptism" is near impossible for me.

Our family got asked to sing "The Family is Of God."  The whole primary sang the 1st verse, Darin sang a solo for the 2nd verse, I sang a solo for the 3rd verse (very poorly I might add), and Matt and Lindsay sang the 4th verse.  They did GREAT!!

Thankfully for me, the church handbook asks members not to take video or photos in the chapel, so there is no evidence of me singing, but today, I did record the kids singing at home.  They did an even better job for the program, but I love this little video of Matt and Lindsay.

And even though I didn't learn this song perfectly, I am counting it as my "mastered song on the piano."  I felt like I was playing it all day every day for 2 weeks!

Abigail's Wedding (the reception)

This beautiful cousin of mine got married yesterday.
We ALL LOVE Abs!
Isn't she gorgeous!?

It was a PERFECT night!
The weather couldn't have cooperated better.
A big rainstorm came through right after they cut the cake and EVERYONE helped to clean up!
Beautiful day for a beautiful bride!

I did a little videography in the morning at the temple (I'll post later).
Here are a few of the pictures I took from the reception that night.

For dinner they did Cafe Rio salads!! YUMMO!!

And for dessert they had Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt!  SOO good!!

Cute little cousin pals!

The BEAUTIFUL mother of the bride, my aunt Kathy!

Isn't the cake BEAUTFUL!!?  My sister, Heather, MADE it!!!
And I know it is hard to believe, but it actually tasted even BETTER than it looked!!
The most delicious coconut cake I've EVER had!

Aren't my cousin's attractive?

I mean, they are ALL REALLY attractive!

Poor Robbie broke his collar bone!
At least his sling matched his tie!

Congrats Abs!  We are so happy for you!!

Alphabet Dates—K Date

Yesterday we went on our “K Date.”
We had a great time taking our KIDS KAYAKING!
For dinner we had KOREAN KIMCHI and KIT KATS for dessert!

I think Andrew loved the Kayak the most.  He got so mad when it wasn't his turn.
One time, he got mad, took his pants, off, and threw them in the lake.
This boy!
