Stressed to Blessed.

I realize that I’ve been vague in regards to the difficult time we’ve been having.
People have asked, and I thought I’d open up a little.

Sometimes it feels like everything hits at once.
This month we got hit with a bunch a medical bills we weren’t expecting.
Then we lost insurance.
Then Darin’s aunt, uncle, and cousin died this week—two from cancer, one from age.

Then the biggest one…Darin lost his job.
It’s been a mess.
10 months ago THREE companies wanted him.
Now, finding something has been a struggle.
It has been stressful.

However, it has brought a lot of blessings as well.
People have blessed our lives.  It is times like this I realize I need to be doing more.
People are SO good!—There have been so many little (and BIG) acts of kindness we have received.  THANK YOU to all those who have been so kind to us!!

We know things will work out—they always do.  And, until they do, we have been living off of this quote,

“Don't you quit. You keep walking, you keep trying, there is help and happiness ahead. Some blessings come soon. Some come late. Some don't come until heaven. But for those who embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ, they come. It will be alright in the end. Trust God and believe in Good Things to Come.”  Elder Holland

Just know that you are in our prayers! I remember when Dave lost his job a couple of years ago and we found out we were expecting #5. It was a struggle, but we also grew so much out of that experience. As hard as it was, it made us see things from a different perspective. I know Darin will find a new job soon and this whole thing will become a blessing in disguise. As you said, hang in there. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Love you, guys! Hugs!

I loved what Sister Dalton said on Saturday. . . "The Lord doesn't want us to be in a comfort zone." :) Each time I get into one something big happens. Just use this as a reminder that the Lord is continuing to help you to grow. We've been there, are there, and it stinks. We love you!

I'm mostly a lurking reader :) I'm glad you posted this though. It's times like this that 'who you know' matters. Tom recently changed jobs and he has a lot of contacts both in his new job and old. I can't really remember what Darin's background is, but if he still has Tom's phone number, have him give Tom a call. Tom will be more than happy to help.

I'm so sorry all of those things have happened to you. Keep your good perspective, and let us know if we can help in any way.
