Gardner Village

Today we went out to Gardner Village with mom, Heather (aka the birthday girl), and Kristy.
We missed you Heather H!
We did a scavenger hunt to find the witches and the kids got cookies at the end.
And the weather was PERFECT!!

Braves vs. Wildcats

This has been a bad year for my almamaters.
I hated watching the Y lose to the U.
Then we had to watch the Braves lose to the Wildcats.

Part of me wanted to get all decked out in red with warrior stripes.
But, there is a good chance that Matt will go to Woods Cross (GASP!!!)
(Our ward is split--half go to Bountiful and half go to WX).

I just HATE the idea of Matt going to my rival school.
I know I should just grow up and get over it....but I still have 10+ years to do that.

Thanks mama for coming with me!
And for bringing blankets to share on that COLD day!

Apple Picking and Apple Pie

Yesterday Matt, Lindsay, and I made my favorite apple pie.
We started out by picking the apples from our own back yard.
I love these kids, and decided to make a little movie to go with it.
The words in the song describe a lot of how I feel.

"It's not perfect, but it's everything I've dreamed of."
"It's pure bliss....It doesn't get better than this!"

Rise and Shout or Cry and Pout?

Andrew has been sick, so we couldn't watch the BYU/Utah game with anyone and had to stay home.

Darin thought it would be fun to get Slurpees to help brighten the weekend.
While he was gone, I changed the kids' clothes and painted their faces.

When Matt found out that Darin was on "the other team" he cried a little and decided to switch loyalties.  Good move for him.

We fell asleep near half time, and found out the sad (happy for Darin) news about 2 am.

Better luck next time cougars!

The lone Ute.

France is Married!!

My super amazing and beautiful friend, France, got married today!
We felt so honored to be at her sealing.
She and Taylor make a beautiful couple!
We are so excited for you France!  Lots of love to you!!

And check out her DARLING daughter Shay.  She LOVES to pose, if you can’t tell.

5 Months

Our sweet little Andrew is 5 months.
Have I ever mentioned how much I love this little guy?
Because I do!!

In all of his updates I always mention how he is a MOVER.
Rolling from front to back at 3 weeks.
Rolling from back to front at 3 months.
Now he is already starting to CRAWL!!!

Someone PLEASE tell this boy to SLOW DOWN!!

Unfortunately, my cute little boy has croup.
It breaks my heart to see him sick.
Poor baby.
But, as you can see from the picture, even when he's sick, he's still happy!

Happy 5 months little buddy!

Andrew's First Haircut

Yesterday Andrew got his first haircut.
He doesn't have a lot of hair, but he has some LONG ones.

Matthew's first haircut was a little more dramatic.

Saying goodbye to the long wispy hairs.

I can't believe what a little trim does.
He looks so much older to me!
Love this guy!

The Dirty Dash

Today Rick, Darin, and I ran the Dirty Dash.
Ben was supposed to come too, but he had to work.
We missed you Ben!!

My parents were nice enough to watch our kids and take pictures!
THANKS DAD AND MOM!!

Our cheering section:

Matt and Lindsay had their own fun in the mud.

Rick and Darin were so fun to run with.
I felt like I was laughing the whole time.
Except for the part where Rick "helped" me over the dirt mountains,
and then continued to pull me over face first into the mud.
Ok, that part was fun too!

I love the look on our kids' faces when we tried to kiss them.

My battle wound.
(It looks a lot worse than it actually was).

Dad and mom were EXTRA nice and took us out to lunch afterwards!
Thanks Pa and Ma!!

I fed Andrew while right after the race, and he was covered in dirt too!

Another WONDERFULLY fun and adventurous dirty dash!!
