Easter Egg Hunt!

This morning we went to the Bountiful Tabernacle for a little Easter Egg hunt!

The kids had a GREAT time and got lots of eggs!

Patiently waiting for them to say "GO!"

And they're off!

We had a fun surprise at the end....THE EASTER BUNNY!!
Matt LOVED the bunny!  Lots of hugs, saying thanks for the eggs, and just awe.
(Lindsay, however, only liked him from a distance, and refused to get too close).

A GREAT Good Friday!

I love that the stock market is closed on Good Friday.
Darin had the day off and we had a wonderful day together!
We started out by dying some Easter eggs.

We each did an egg with our initial on it--even baby #3 got one!

After we decorated our eggs we looked at some baby chicks and bunnies.

When we came home we decorated some lemon sugar cookies.

We also made and delivered some homemade peanut butter eggs for a few neighbors.

And I had a cute helper that loved "dipping" the eggs.

Easter Brunch

I did a baby shower on Saturday and I ended up having quite a few left-overs.
So, I invited my mom and sisters over for a little pre-Easter brunch!

We had juice, bacon quiche, broccoli quiche, fruit, pancakes, and muffins.

Matt and Lindsay helped me make this orange playdough that we gave to the cousins.

After brunch we did a little indoor egg hunt.

Lindsay found some eggs in her room!

And she loved that there was jewelry inside!

Checking out the "goods."

Grandma took the kids outside for a few games.

Lindsay wanted it to be her turn on a game, so she sat and pouted for a minute.

But then she got over it.

It was a fun beginning to our Easter week!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Our St. Patrick’s Day started a week ago when my mom had us up for a St. Patricksy dinner.

Tuesday Matt had a preschool St. Patrick’s Day party where they made Leprechaun traps.
I’ll admit, I’ve never had the desire to do the whole “Leprechaun trap” thing.
I’m not sure why, but it just seemed weird to me.
But after they made these, and we set it out the night before, I think I might be hooked!
Matt LOVED it, and it made me love it too!
Our leprechaun left a note saying “Nice Try!”

But then he also left clues to where the pot of gold was…and we found it!

After our hunt, we had shamrock French toast….
(I'm really thinking I should invest in a shamrock cookie cutter..my attempt with a knife is a little sad).

And we discovered that the leprechaun turned our milk green!

Matt thought that was so funny!

After breakfast we went to church (and luckily for us, Matt had a green shirt and tie and Lindsay has a few green dresses!).
After church we made a little rainbow craft.

Matt did a really good job!

Next we made some treats to sneakily deliver to some people.

And of course we had to have our corned beef and cabbage dinner.

With rainbow fruit, and pot of gold jello!

And we ended the night we our “Leprechaun on the Loose” book.

Hope you had a happy St. Patrick’s Day!
