Workin’ at the Car Wash, Yeah!

As I was cleaning the kitchen, I noticed the house was a little too quiet.
When I went in search of my family, I found them outside, washing my car!
Best husband and kids ever!

Manti

This week we went to Manti with the bishopric for girls camp.
We even got to go to the Manti pageant.

The fam in front of the temple.

Getting some grub.

Sister Ita and I often wear matching outfits.

Matt with two of the actors.

Darin has wanted one of these rootbeer jugs for a long time.
He finally got one while we were in Manti.

Two of the girls from my primary class.

Linds waking up in the tent.

A morning song from Brother Ita.

Linds sporting her new outfit from Camie.

The bishopric let the girls paint their nails—(a one time event).

Happy Birthday Eric Carle!!

After we had a party for Dr. Seuss, I thought we better do one for Eric Carle too.
(Afterall, I do own more Eric Carle books than Dr. Seuss).

We started out with “Very Hungry Caterpillar Pancakes.”

Then we had “Very Hungry Caterpillar Sandwich.”

We also went to the zoo and read “To The Zoo” while we waited for the train.

We read “From Head to Toe” by the gorillas.

We read “Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear” by the polar bears.

Then we had a “Very Hungry Caterpillar” dinner.

I had every intention of doing all these activities on the same day, plus a couple of art projects, but it just didn’t happen.

You’ll even notice that Matt isn’t dressed in the first picture, and sloppily dressed on the others.  So, this party ended up lasting a few minutes a day for three days.

Even though it wasn’t all on the same day, it was a fun extended birthday party!

Happy Birthday Eric Carle!!

PS- If anyone wants the food signs or caterpillar--they're yours.
If not, we'll happily donate them to the recycling bin!

One Fish, Two Fish.

The swimming pool finally opened and we went for the first swim of the year.

It was fabulous!!

My sister, Heather, made a delicious lunch for the kids,
and an even better one for the adults!  (Amazing crab sandwiches, fruit and veggies!!)

Matt is a little apprehensive about the water, but Lindsay is just a regular fish!

It was a perfect swim day!

Who wants to go with me again today!?

Cousin Sleepover

This has been a LONG week.

Darin went to Scout Camp Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,
then went to Youth Conference Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

I have a hard time sleeping without him so my cousins were nice enough to come sleep over.

We enjoyed yummy food, lots of talking, playing, watching  movies, more talking, and more food.

I LOVE these girls!!

Ahoy Matey!

My mom got Matthew into a boys “Adventure Camp.”

It was for 50 minutes a day, for four days.

The first day was “detective day.”
Matt loved it!

The second day was “digging for dinosaurs.”
Matt really loved it!

The third day was “slaying dragons.”
Matt really really loved it!

And today was “pirate day.”
I think that today was his favorite of all.

And, it might be just me, but I think that he is one cute pirate!

Happy Father’s Day!

We had a pre Father’s Day Saturday night, (because my parents invited us up for Sunday).

We had steak, Market Street Potatoes, and Grilled Lettuce.

And we gave Darin a few small gifts.

Happy Father’s Day  to the best dads I know--Dad G, Dad H, and of course, Darin!

Love you sweetie!  Thanks for being the best dad for our kids!
I LOVE that I'm the kid's "Best Buddy," but you're their "Best Buddy EVER!!"
Happy Father's Day!!

The knot has been tied!

This weekend my cousin Krista got married!
It was a beautiful wedding, a beautiful reception, and she was a beautiful bride!
Congrats Ryan and Krista!

Aren’t they an attractive couple!!?

They served snow-cones at the reception---and they were seriously delicious!!
I think I tried like 7 of them.  Every time anyone in my extended family had one, they let me try a bite,
so I got to try almost all of them--another reason I LOVE my family!!
(And aren’t my cousins cute!?  LOVE THEM!!)

Check out that cake! –my sister made it!!  She is pretty much amazing!

The food.

I didn’t take a ton of pictures because I was busy making a few (well, 900) teriyaki sliders!

And another picture of the bride and groom, just because they’re so cute!
